Sport Achievements and Celebrations

We regularly take part in sporting competitions and promote positive attitudes, strong team spirit and determination to achieve our very best, both individually and as a team.

Teams from Bentley and Copdock took part in a tag rugby festival run by Northampton Saints Rugby Club. We played against many other teams with the purpose of improvement and development.

Our girls took part in a football festival at Ipswich Town Football club, following on from the success of The Lionesses in the World Cup.

Teams from years 5 and 6 took part in a basketball tournament run by School Games at Inspire in Ipswich. This was part of a development offer to ensure all children can take part despite ability and confidence. Copdock went on to win this overall event.

Children from years 5 and 6 took part in a dodgeball tournament at Inspire in Ipswich as part of the School Games offer. Despite dodgeball not being part of our curriculum, the children showed resilience and enthusiasm to take part in a new sport.

We took approximately 40 children from both schools from years 3 to 6 to take part in the cross country event at The Royal Hospital School, which was organised by School Games. Two of our girls went through to competitive events across counties following their amazing achievement!!

Each year we take part in a football festival run by one of our local high schools - St Joseph's College, who we have continued to work in partnership with.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
