Welcome to life in Woodpeckers Class!

The children in Woodpeckers Class are aged between 7 and 9 years old so they are in the middle phase of our school.  During their time in Woodpeckers Class, we see the children mature into more independent learners.

This process is carefully guided by adults during the early months of their time in the class so by the end of Year 4, when they are ready to move on to Foxes Class, they are confident in working independently as well as being part of a team and managing their own learning time effectively.  We encourage the children to be reflective in their learning and evaluate what they have done in order to identify what their next steps are.

The children enjoy sharing and peer marking their learning, finding new ways to move their learning on and achieving success.
