Homework

Homework is given out on a Friday to be handed in the following Friday so it can be marked in class.  Usually, there will be a writing task, spelling sheet and a maths activity linked to what has been taught that week.

Each child will have a Home Learning Book to stick in their learning.  Homework will need to be completed neatly, using a black handwriting pen for English and a pencil for Maths.

Any questions regarding the homework will need to be asked BEFORE the Friday.

Children are also expected to complete the Reading Giants Challenge - read at least 5 TIMES a week.  This needs to be recorded in their diaries and verified by an adult's signature.

Each half term, the children will be learning one column of the Y5/6 Common Exception Words (21 words) and tested at the beginning of the next half term.  The spellings will be in the front of their Home Learning Book.

Times Tables Rockstars should be accessed at least 3 TIMES a week so multiplication facts are practised.
