Information to Share

Uniform Order - we will be placing a uniform order before half term.  Please see the order form attached.  Please complete the form and send in to the office at the same time as payment.  Payment can be made on spider, or by cash or cheque in a named envelope. Orders to be in by Monday 9th February please.  Orders can only be accepted with an order form AND payment.  Payment via Spider does not constitute an order.

Valentines Disco Raffle Tickets - the PTA will be holding a Valentines Day Disco after school on Friday 13th February (see posters attached) Tickets can be purchased through the PTA. This will be a non uniform day in exchange for a Pink or Red donation for a raffle to be held at the Disco.  Raffle tickets will be on sale each day after school next week, sold by KS2 children.  Tickets cost 50p each so please bring exact cash with you to purchase tickets as all money raised benefits the children.

Foundation Parent Consultations - Miss Zych will be holding parent consultations on Friday 6th and Friday 13th February from 2:30-3:30pm.  This is an opportunity to meet with Miss Zych and discuss your child's progress.  Appointments will be 10 minutes long and can be booked via School Spider.  Booking is now available on Spider, please note bookings will close on Wednesday 4th at 5pm - after this time, please contact the office.

Medication in School - As per the medical policy, office staff are able to administer paracetamol to children in school for mild complaints to enable them to stay in school.  However, please can we ask that if parents are aware that their child is not feeling 100%, that you administer the medication before school and advise office staff on the gate or via email that they have had a dose at home.  If you feel that they may need more during the day, please send in calpol/paracetamol to use in school where you will need to complete a form please. The medication will be returned to you once they are feeling better, or if known long term complaints, at the end of each term.

Pre-Loved Uniform Sales - the PTA will be holding second hand uniform sales on Friday 27th February, Friday 24th April and Friday 3rd July.

Kittens Spare Clothes - please can we ask that children in Kittens class have a spare set of clothes left in school in case of accidents. Please ensure all items are named, and sent in a named bag.

Online Presence - We hope you have all enjoyed seeing photos and updates about our recent activities in school. Don't forget, you can follow us on www.instagram.com/bentleyandcopdockfederation/ or www.bentleycopdock.co.uk

Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Muddy Shoes - If your child has a spare change of shoes they can change into for playtimes this would help to keep our classrooms clean.  Alternatively, plimsols for indoors and outdoor shoes for play. Thank you as always for your support.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
