Information to Share

PTA Summer Fete -  Sunday sees the summer fete.  Please support our PTA by returning all raffle ticket stubs and monies by Friday, any unsold tickets should also be returned, also, if you would like more tickets please let a PTA member know. 

Uniform - as new uniform was sent home this week, perhaps you're having a sort out of the old clothes.  If you've got any 2nd hand uniform in good condition please pass it onto the PTA.  2nd hand uniform is available anytime for a few pounds.

Year 2 Escalator Day - Year 2 children are attending a Skills Escalator Day at Suffolk One on Tuesday 1st July.  They will be taken to the venue by Mrs Austin in the school minibus leaving at 8.40am. Chn will need to bring a packed lunch and snack and drinks for the day and wear school uniform. 

Foxes Performance - parents are welcome to join us on Tuesday for a clarinet performance at 2:45pm.

Pleasurewood Hills - Foxes chn -Wed 2nd July- The children will need a packed lunch which will contain enough food for the whole day as this year the price does not include food, plentyof drinks, sun cream and hat, waterproofs (if it suggests rain!). Any travel sickness tablets for the return journey must be given to the adult in charge in a named envelope please. Children do not need to wear their school uniform although please ensure shoulders are covered. The children need to be at school by 8.30am. Please note the change in time for collection is 6pm.

Woodpeckers Tuba Musical Event - Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event

Year 4 Sleepover at Bentley Primary - 4th July -The children have the opportunity to watch The Lion King (Mustafa) and the new Snow White film, both of these are Cert PG but if you do not want your child to watch these films please contact the office. Reminder for your child to bring a change of clothes for woodland activities (and water fight), spare pair of shoes, empty plastic bag for wet / dirty clothes, bring water guns if you have them, toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, pyjamas / sleep wear, sleeping bag/quilt and pillow, Teddy bear for cuddling at night!, Change of clothes for Saturday morning New collection time is 9am Saturday 5th July 

Psychology Workshops for  Parents - the Psychology in Schools Team (NSFT) are preparing their programme for parent/carer workshops in 2025-26.  They would appreciate parent views to help inform their content and delivery.  Please complete this survey to assist them to deliver the topics that parents/carers may find helpful.  Responses are anonymous.  Courses are advertised throughout the year on our website under the Local Clubs and Events section.  https://forms.office.com/e/uyhkKKx1EY

Change of menu-10th July- menu will be burger and wedges or vegetarian burger and wedges (sandwiches/jackets will also be available ) Please note from next week Wk 1-Thursday- it will be roast chicken instead of roast turkey, Wk 2- Thursday-it will be chicken sausages instead of roast chicken

Parents Healthy Living Workshop -Squirrels 1.30pm, Kittens 2.30pm-Come along to the school to learn more.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.
Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays.
Reception children need to wear Forest Schools clothing on Fridays and bring welly boots.
Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.
Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
