Copdock Weekly Update 27/03/2026

Information to Share

London News - the children all had a wonderful day out on Thursday in London. I am sure you have all seen the photos on the Group Conversation page.

Cross Country-Wednesday 25th March - The children had a great time at the Royal Hospital School on Wednesday and all did really well

Easter Bonnets - The children's bonnets were amazing today.

Dinner menu change - The lunch menus will change after Easter.  Please see the new menus attached which will start on a week one and run until October half term.

Medication in School - all medication has been sent home today.  Please ensure they are returned to school after the Easter break if still required. A reminder that any new medication will need a permission form to be completed, and please also complete the medical section in Arbor if it is an ongoing condition.

Governor Reflections - please find attached a reflection review from the Governors on our recent London Trip.

After School Clubs - after the Easter Break please be reminded that Lego Club will no longer be on during the Summer Term. Sports ASC after Easter-The Monday After School club at Copdock will be for KS2 this half term concentrating on football. A survey has been sent to children who are participating in the next tournament to enable them to have some time to practice together.

Cricket Club Session - please see attached a flyer for a free cricket session after Easter

Bikes and Scooters - it is lovely to see children coming to school on their bikes/scooters and making use of the bike shed/scooter pod to store them during the day. Can we please ask parents to remind their child not to ride their bikes/scooters on the school grounds, for safety we ask that they push them to and from the school gate to the bike shed/scooter pod

Little Princess Trust - one of our pupils is fundraising for Little Princess Trust, and she’d really appreciate your support. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Little Princess Trust, so it's the most efficient way to give - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. You can donate to their JustGiving page by clicking here https://www.justgiving.com/page/hannah-carpenter-2?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=EM  JustGiving sends your donation straight to Little Princess Trust and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.

We hope you have all enjoyed seeing photos and updates about our recent activities in school.

Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Muddy Shoes - If your child has a spare change of shoes they can change into for playtimes this would help to keep our classrooms clean.  Alternatively, plimsols for indoors and outdoor shoes for play. Thank you as always for your support.

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
