Information to Share

Christmas Wishes - on behalf of all the staff, thank you to parents and children for their kind words and gifts.  It's been a busy term, we hope you all enjoy the special time together as a family over the Christmas holidays and look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Menu Change for Tuesday 6th Jan - please note school dinner on Tuesday 6th January will be Monday's menu of beef lasagne or macaroni cheese, not greek style chicken.  The rest of the week will be as the menu.

Tea towels - if you would like to purchase any 150th Celebration tea towels they are £4 each,  please email the office.

KS1 Multiskills (indoors) Afterschool Club - this ASC is now full and the survey is closed. Parents had a confirmation email for their child's place on Monday 15th December.

Lego Club - Yr 1-Yr 4 chn - if you would like your child to attend please see attached poster for details of how to join.

Swimming - as per the survey sent out this week to Yr 2 parents, swimming will start on Monday 12th January 2026 for some Year 2 and Yr 3/4 children.  If your child will be attending you will have received an email confirmating this and more information will be sent home on our return to school.

Attendance - you will have received yesterday by email your child's attendance information for this half term.  This is just an overview for your information. Any queries please email into the office.

Medication - if your child has any medication in school please ensure this is collected and taken home today.

Lost Property - we once again have a build up of lost property items on the lunch box trolley, please can you take a moment to see if any of it belongs to you, as at the end of the term all items will be passed onto the PTA.

Parking - please can all parents be reminded to park around the school area in a sensible manner and in accordance with the Highway Code.  Please do not park across neighbours driveways or on the corner of Pheasant Rise.  Thank you for your cooperation and consideration for others.

Return in Spring Term - we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday 6th January for the Spring Term.  Please take time over the break to check that all items of clothing, lunch boxes and water bottles are named. Please check your child's Arbor account and ensure all contact numbers, permissions and health details are correct.

Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Muddy Shoes - If your child has a spare change of shoes they can change into for playtimes this would help to keep our classrooms clean. Alternatively, plimsols for indoors and outdoor shoes for play. Thank you as always for your support.

Art Tokens - tokens will be printed in the Ipswich star and East Anglian Daily Times. Simply cut out the tokens and drop them into the office for the school to have a chance of winning some art supplies.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
