Online Safety Updates -WhatsApp for Under 13's - Similar to other parent-managed accounts, What's App has now started to roll out options for parents to safely manage access this app for their child. Click the links below to find our how.
A parent will pair their device/account to the child's device/account which then gives a lot of flexibility such as:
  • No 'view once' messages.
  • No location sharing.
  • Messages and group invites from unknown contacts sent to the parent for approval.
  • Parent notifications, such as new contact added.

Relief Midday Supervisor - we are currently looking to appoint a Midday Supervisor who can be available during lunchtimes to cover absence.  The main purpose of the role is to supervise the children at lunchtime in the dining room and outside on the playground, ensuring a safe and active lunchtime for all children.  We are looking for someone who:

  • is friendly, patient and approachable
  • is happy to work outdoors
  • can work well as part of a team
If you know someone who might be interested, please ask them to contact the school office for more information

Warm Weather - as the weather is very warm at the moment, please ensure children come into school with suncream applied, a hat and a drinks bottle.

Upcoming Events - there are lots of events coming up over the last few weeks, please keep an eye on the calendar and blogs to ensure the children know what is happening.

Lost Property - we currently have a lot of lost property items in school, please can we ask you to look through these next week, as whatever is left will be passed on to the PTA for their second hand sale. We urge you to ensure all items in school are named so we can reunite items with their owners when they are misplaced.

We hope you have all enjoyed seeing photos and updates about our recent activities in school.

Parent Information - Please see some flyers attached for parents of events and information.

Please check the attachments for information and also our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
