Information to ShareFederation Writing Day - everyone has worked really hard this week with their writing and creativity. Thank you to everybody who shared the experience with us - we hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did. Menu Next Week - the kitchen will be running down their freezer next week and therefore there will be some changes to the menu. On Monday chicken sausage will be the main option with potato and baked beans. On Tuesday they will be offering fish fingers with wedges and baked beans, followed by a sponge. Jackets and sandwiches will be available as usual both days. Monday - please can all reading books be returned on Monday. Classes will be having their end of year treats - please see blogs for full details. In summary, Woodpeckers should come into school in uniform but can wear trainers. Squirrels and Foxes need to bring a change of clothing - including underwear and shoes, and a towel. Last Day of Term - pupils do not need to bring book bags in on Tuesday - just water bottles and packed lunches if not having hot. Children can come into school in non-uniform appropriate for a day at school, except Year 6 who will need to wear uniform for their leavers assembly. Year 6 can bring a bag with a change of clothes in for later in the day. Election Results - following the voting last week we have a new school council and new head pupils ready to start in September. They will be announced in assembly next week. Community Dental Service CIC have been commissioned by the ICB & Local Authority to provide a mobile dental service to carry out assessments and treatment for local groups and this includes attending schools. They are offering this service to our school so please complete the attached form and return by Tuesday 22nd July if you would like your child to attend in the autumn term. REMINDERS!!!! Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.Earrings must be removed for PE lessons. Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn. Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening. |
Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful! Kittens: yesterday & tomorrow Squirrels: worship & prayer Woodpeckers: tropic & environmental Foxes: sporadic & vanquish Our Value this half term is 'Truthfulness' If you would like to explore this theme at home, see our family leaflet here. |
