Mindful colouring books are recommended.  This will help reduce our paper waste, as well as link in to the government recommendation about limited screen time for young children.

Children in Need - Children in need is on Friday November 13th, this year schools are being invited to 'run with Pudsey'.  We will be trying to run a marathon collectively in school over the two weeks after half term to raise money for Children in Need.  Please can you sign your child up over half term so that they can take part and we can raise some money for this cause.  Please see the Pudsey Link to sign up.  The school code is 9132.

Co-op Competition - the Co-op are holding a competition to design their shopper bag.  The theme focuses on community superheroes.  Please see the attached poster to find out more details and see how you can get involved.

Food Savvy - is a campaign which aims to reduce (edible) food waste in Suffolk homes by showing how you can make your food go further and save money in the process.  They share tips, advice and recipes on their website.  They are helping households to save food by:

·       Planning like a pro – meal planning, writing shopping lists, buying what you need, getting portion sizes right

·       Storing it right – knowing how to keep items fresh for as long as possible, understanding date labels, using your freezer

·       Loving your leftovers – how to store leftovers, repurposing them

The food waste is processed through anaerobic digestion and turned into a biogas and biofertilser.  More information about the food waste collection service can be found online at Suffolk Recycles.

We hope you have all enjoyed seeing photos and updates about our recent activities in school.

Please check the attachments for information and also our Local Clubs and Events 2026-27 on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.
