Bikes and Scooters - it is lovely to see children coming to school on their bikes/scooters and making use of the bike shed/scooter pod to store them during the day. Can we please ask parents to remind their child not to ride their bikes/scooters on the school grounds, for safety we ask that they push them to and from the school gate to the bike shed/scooter pod. Please can you also ensure children are riding them safely on the footpaths, we have had reports of parents being crashed into whilst walking home from school.
School Governor vacancy - please spread the news! - Bentley CEVC & Copdock Primary School Federation is seeking enthusiastic and committed governors to join our friendly governing body. If you share our vision of helping every learner become a confident individual, successful learner and responsible citizen, and can offer time, curiosity and a collaborative approach, we’d love to hear from you. Governors do not need specialist experience — just a commitment to partnership with school leaders, a willingness to ask probing questions and a desire to make a positive difference to our pupils and community. If any parent knows someone from the community who might be interested, please pass on the information. We are particularly looking for experience or skills in finance, health and well-being. For an informal conversation, please contact Executive Headteacher Joanne Austin or the school office on 01473 73033 / 01473 310253 / [email protected]
Mill Lane Playground - we are delighted to be working in partnership with the Parish Council to help design and develop the play area at Mill Lane. The Parish Council is very keen to hear the views of local families and would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete the short survey. Your feedback will also help provide valuable evidence when applying for funding grants.
On Friday 5th June, families are invited to come into school at 2.00pm to view the proposed development plans and ideas, and to share any suggestions, thoughts, and feedback. We would love as many families as possible to attend and support this exciting project.
Families in the community who are not linked to school and members of the public will be welcome to visit between 3.30 pm-4 pm.

REMINDERS!!!! Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons. Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn. Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening. Muddy Shoes - If your child has a spare change of shoes they can change into for playtimes this would help to keep our classrooms clean. Alternatively, plimsols for indoors and outdoor shoes for play. Thank you as always for your support. |

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. Kittens: vehicle & consent Squirrels: respiration & nutrition Woodpeckers: reoccurring & variety Foxes: voltage & incision
Our Value this half term is 'forgiveness' If you would like to explore this theme at home, see our family leaflet here. |
