Copdock Weekly Update 13/06/2025
Information to ShareMenu Change - to mark the King's Birthday our catering company is offering a special lunch menu - this does not need to be pre-ordered but please note there will be no jackets or sandwiches available on Tuesday 17th June. Please see attached poster with details of the menu. Packed Lunches - as the weather is fitting the term, we do tend to encourage packed lunches to eat outside. To help facilitate this, does anybody have any picnic blankets they could donate to the school to make this a more fun and enjoyable experience please? Lost Property - you may have noticed a lot of jumpers, cardigans and fleeces lined up along the ramp into school. These are all looking for their owners. Please can you also check that the tops you have at home are definitely yours? We've had some labelled jumpers and cardigans go missing - perhaps been picked up by mistake. Please check if you've accidentally got one that's not yours. Please, please, please make sure everything is labelled to ensure we can locate the owner, and remind children to be responsible for their items at the end of break times when they're rushing back into class. Sports Day - just a reminder that Friday is our sports day. Please see the email sent last week with details of team colours and the running order for the day. Library Days - please be advised that Thursdays will be library days so please ensure children have their books with them to be able to exchange them. Class Photos - your child will have had their class photo taken this week - they will have brought a slip home from Bentley Photographic. All photo orders will be through the company direct. The deadline for orders is set by them and cannot be changed. Photos can be delivered to school free of charge, alternatively you can make your own arrangements wtih the company. KS1 Zoo Trip - just a reminder that the deadline for payments and slips is next Friday. There are still quite a few outstanding. Please ensure they are all received ahead of the deadline. Foxes Clarinet Performance - in a couple of weeks our Foxes children will be taking part in the WCET festival and showcasing their clarinet skills. If you have been unable to get tickets or to spare the time to attend in person, don't panic, the children will be performing in school for their parents on Tuesday 1st July at 2:45pm. PTA Summer Fete - please see attached details about the summer fete being held on Sunday 29th June, there is also a list of jobs that volunteers are needed for on the day - please do take a look if you are able to offer some assistance - the more helpers that volunteer, the less time spent doing the tasks. Could we also ask if any families have any gazebos they would be willing to lend for the day - please contact a member of the PTA if you are able to help. Thanks in advance. |
REMINDERS!!!! Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.Foxes need to remember clarinets for their lessons on Tuesdays. Reception children need to wear Forest Schools clothing on Fridays and bring welly boots. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons. Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn. Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening. |
Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
