PGL Payments - for those that are paying for PGL in instalments, please be reminded that the next installment will be due after half term.
Attendance - you will have received yesterday by email your child's attendance information for this half term. This is just an overview for your information. Any queries please email into the office.
Family Sharing Assemblies - please find attached the schedule for next terms sharing assemblies. The first Friday back will be our Family Sharing - an opportunity for adults to come in and look at the work the children have been doing in class.
World Book Day Thursday 5th March 2026 - This year, to celebrate World Book Day, we are asking children to turn a wooden spoon into their favourite Roald Dahl or Julia Donaldson character. See examples below:
Wooden spoons can be bought really cheaply from supermarkets and there are lots of ideas on the internet. All decorated spoons need to be brought into school by Wednesday 4th March. Every child who takes part will receive a small prize and there will be a winner from each class. Therefore, we will not be dressing up this year.
We hope you have all enjoyed seeing photos and updates about our recent activities in school.
Don't forget, you can follow us on www.instagram.com/bentleyandcopdockfederation/ or www.bentleycopdock.co.uk
Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages. We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

REMINDERS!!!! Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons. Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn. Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled. Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening. Muddy Shoes - If your child has a spare change of shoes they can change into for playtimes this would help to keep our classrooms clean. Alternatively, plimsols for indoors and outdoor shoes for play. Thank you as always for your support. |

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful! Kittens: No Squirrels: words Woodpeckers: this Foxes: week Our Value this half term is 'Courage' If you would like to explore this theme at home, see our family leaflet here. |
