Questionnaire - the Schools Commissioner, Rachel de Souza, would like to hear from children aged 0–18 from every background, in every part of the country so they can share their views about what it is like to be a child today. The questionnaire asks children about the things they enjoy, the challenges they face, the changes they want to see in their communities, and what they think a good childhood should look like now and in the future. Please chat with your child and help them to complete the survey here: http://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigfuture

Sports Afternoon - thank you to parents/guardians for coming along to support our Sports Afternoon on Tuesday.  Although the weather seemed against us, we were lucky with the sunshine in the end and pleased we managed to get our events underway. All the children did a great job and had lots of fun whilst taking part and cheering on their teammates. The final scores were: Red Team 316 points, Blue Team 272, Green Team 268, Yellow Team 266, Black Team 259 and White Team 239.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
