Information to Share

It has been lovely to see so much learning this week. Reception are settling well into routines, Head Pupils have met to discuss their action plan and we have launched our PASS challenge to support our curriculum driver... ambition and challenge! 

 

Copdock 100 Club 2026-27 - please see the attached letter to support our fundraising. Last year. we shared prize money of £450 across our 12 draws (£540 in 2024-25)  😎.

Deadline for entry is 25^th September

This year our focus is on 'Ambition and Challenge'. Any funds raised will go towards enterprise activities and learning about money, both spending and saving!

As always, we are extremely grateful for the support provided by our community; we could not achieve the amazing things we do without you.

 

 

Safeguarding and Acceptable Use Agreements (AUA) - Our policies have now been updated for 2026-27 and are available on the school website.

Children have discussed the AUA with their teachers this week to support positive online safety.  We now need parents to read and agree the children's AUA and the agreement for parents via Arbor. Together we can support safe and positive use of technology. Please update this by Friday 18^th September.

 

Arbor Data  - please check and update by Wednesday 16th September - as per our annual data collection, please can ALL parents check their data on Arbor & ensure everything is up to date and correct.  Please double-check permissions have been completed, along with medical and allergy information.  Historically a hard copy of your data & your child's would have been sent home for checking - Arbor enables this to be a live record, but it does need checking at the start of each school year and updating for changes throughout the year.  Please note you only have access to yours & your child's data - not partners, therefore everybody needs to check their own information.  This data informs our critical incident plan and is imperative we have all the correct information.

Foundation Children Drop Off - the children have been growing their confidence in coming into school in the mornings over the last week which has been great to see. From Monday, we would like the foundation children to continue to increase their independence by coming into school by themselves along with their peers. We would therefore ask for parents to say goodbye to their child at the bottom of the ramp, Miss Zych will be at the gate ready to say good morning to the children as they come in.

Please check the attachments for information and also our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

REMINDERS!!!!

Please keep up to date with payments - whether it's dinner money or PGL.  Thank you.

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.

Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.

Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
