Information to Share

Cricket - cricket has finsihed for the term - therefore Woodpeckers should be collected from school at 3:15pm on Tuesday.

Moving On - year 6 children will be having a trip to the Church for a moving on assembly on Tuesday morning, therefore please can they come to school in their uniform and bring PE kit to change into afterwards.

Elections - if your child is looking to prepare speeches in order to stand for elections next week, please encourage them to practice over the weekend.  School Council elections will be held on Monday and Head Pupil speeches will be held on Tuesday.

Food Festival - if you would like to sample our collaboratively made Mexican Food Festival cooking please come in to the nurture area at 3:10pm next Wednesday 16th.

Writing Day - next Thursday sees an exciting Writing Day.  As per the letter sent last week, pupils will be able to purchase copies of Lisa Thompson's books - these will be cash only.  All parents are invited into school from 2pm on Friday to see what the chidlren have been working on.  Sharing assembly will be at 2:45pm as usual.

Dinner Monies - if your child is in KS2 and pays for their dinners please ensure you have paid for their meals prior to breaking up for the summer holidays.  If you need to know how many you owe for, please contact the office.

Menu Change - next Friday 18th July please note the kitchen will be offering a chicken sausage in a a roll/Vegetarian sausage in a roll, curly fries and vegetable sticks, chocolate brownie and ice cream - there is  no need to pre-order.

Leavers Assembly - as usual we will be holding our leavers assembly on Tuesday 22nd July at 9am.  Parents are welcome to attend.

Updated Free School Meals Information - please see the attached flyer for information about free school meals.

End of Term -   as we approach the end of term please ensure all library books and sports kits are returned.  Children will need to bring a strong carrier bag in next week ready to bring home their Learning Journeys and books.

Reports - you should have received your child's report for school year via email.

 
 

REMINDERS!!!!

Please ensure your child has a named coat or waterproof in school for break times - we do like to get outside even if it's a bit drizzly.
Reception children need to wear Forest Schools clothing on Fridays and bring welly boots.
Earrings must be removed for PE lessons.  Please check the uniform policy to ensure the correct earrings are being worn.
Please ensure anything brought into school is labelled.  Look out for lost property on the lunchbox trolley each evening.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
