Copdock Weekly Update 05/09/2025
Information to ShareCoats - As we are having some showers and the weather is likely to turn colder now, please can you send in a waterproof coat each day with your child. We do try to get children outside at playtime and lunchtime even if it is drizzling so a waterproof coat is necessary (a fleece will not keep them dry). Please ensure all clothing is named so lost property can be reunited with their owner. Arbor - As many of you are aware, we are using Arbor for our information system in school. Parents have access to this to update your information. Please could you take some time to check contact information, phone numbers, emails etc. Please ensure all the consent forms are completed, and if your child has a medical need please update this on the medical section. It is really important that we have all relevant information on the system. If you have already completed an inhaler usage form please could you pop into the office at some point to check and resign your child's plan. If your child requires an inhaler in school please ensure it is brought into school. Thank you for your support. Please check your child's records by Friday 12th September. Lego Club-starts Tuesday 9th - if your child would like to attend please see attached poster Year 3 parents - just a reminder if your child has school dinners please pay on Spider as now your child is in KS2 their dinners are not universally free. Afterschool football club - If your child has a place for this club you will have received an email confirmation. School Instagram Page - The new year has also seen the launch of our new school Instagram page: @bentleyandcopdockfederation. Here you will be able to keep up to date with what everyone has been getting up to at school and celebrate successes within school. If you have previously given permission for your child to be on Facebook, this has now been edited to a social media permission and will roll forward with your child being able to appear on Facebook and Instagram. Please make the office aware if you would prefer your child was not to be featured on our Instagram page by Friday 12th September. Forest School and PE on Monday - Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be doing PE and Forest School on Mondays. They need to wear their outdoor PE kit, jogging bottoms, t-shirt and a jumper/jacket with trainers. We would really like the children to have a pair of wellies that can be left in school as we will go outside in all weathers. As Year 3/4 will also do Forest School sessions, please can they also come in their outdoor PE kit for the day, with wellies or old trainers as above. Family Assembly - officially starts Friday 12th September at 2.45pm-See attached
