Copdock Weekly Update 7/11/2025
Information to ShareRemembrance and Poppy Sales - head pupils will be selling poppies on our return to school along with the usual items (snap bands, reflectors, pencils etc). If you would like your child to purchase something in support of the Royal British Legion, please send them in with their contributions. Recommend donations for poppies is 20p but the other items range from 50p to £1.
Children will also engage in our annual service of remembrance on Tuesday 11th November in the school hall.
Odd Socks and Anti-bullying - head Pupils will be leading assemblies with children next week as part of anti-bullying week. To show recognition of this important week, they are asking all children to come to school wearing odd socks for the whole week. This year's theme is 'Power for Good'.
Children in Need - Friday 14th November - this year, we would like to to do something slightly different in support of our local food bank. Linked to the 2025 theme, 'challenge yourself', we are inviting families to donate a box of cereal, instead of a monetary donation. We will be creating a domino effect on the playground, demonstrating to children that each act of kindness has a knock on effect to others around us. The cereal will then be donated to the local food banks to support local children and families in need. The date for this will be Friday 14th November. Children are excited about this already and we have agreed that more than one box of cereal is welcome.
Parent Consultations - are being held on Wednesday 12th September (3.30pm-5.30pm) and Thursday 13th November (5pm-7pm). Bookings are available on Spider until 5pm on Monday 10th November if you haven't yet booked in.
Reception Place Applications - please see a flyer from SCC regarding school application deadline for September starters. Please pass on to any other parents you know and please let them know that they are very welcome to look round our school next week if they are looking for a school place.
