Bentley Weekly Update 9.1.2026

 

Important Information to Share  

 
 
 
 
Mondays
Please note that Adders class will not be going to Copdock for PE on a Monday afternoon this term, they will be remaining at Bentley.  If you had previously collected your child from Copdock, please note that collection will be from Bentley.
 
Hedgehogs class - Year  3 / 4 children will go to Copdock for PE /  swimming after lunch. Collection can be from either Bentley or Copdock, but if from Copdock please let the office know. They will also be having Forest School on Thursday afternoons from Thursday 15th January. Please see email sent yesterday.
 
Wolves class will go to Copdock for Forest school as they did last term - Collection can be from either Bentley or Copdock but if from Copdock please let the office know. (KS1 children signed up for ASC should be collected from Copdock at 4.15pm. ).
 
Yr 2 / 3 / 4 swimming
You will have been advised if your Year 2 child is starting swimming this term, or if your Yr 3 / 4 child is continuing. (Please see letter attached regarding year  2 swimming which was sent out on Thursday.
Yr 2 children will still being taking part in Forest Schools in the morning, so please send them to school in appropriate clothing for both Forest Schools and getting changed easily after swimming (e.g no tights)
 
Menu Change - Thursday 15th January
Pease see the attached poster for details of The Big Breakfast Bash menu on offer instead of the usual menu for next Thursday. Jacket potatoes and sandwiches will still be available to order on this day.
 
Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community.- we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

A reminder that payments can be paid monthly and the next payment can be paid this month.

Please remember to complete the Library agreement consent on Arbor after you have reviewed the short agreement accessed on our website Library Agreement. .

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!

Mondays - Swimming resumes on Monday 12th January for some Yr 2 / 3/ 4 children
 
Mondays - Wolves Forest school and Hedgehogs PE at Copdock resumes on 12th January.  Please note that Adders will no longer be going to Copdock, they will have PE at Bentley.
 
Mondays - starting 12th January - KS1 Multi skills After School club at Copdock - pick up for children who have signed up, at 4.15pm from Copdock school.
 
Thursdays - pm Hedgehog class Forest School
 
Fridays 2.45pm - Family sharing assembly - please see Assembly rota for children sharing this term.

Monday 16th to Friday 20th February - Half-Term

Friday 27th March - Last Day of term
