Medication in school
As per the medical policy, office staff are able to administer paracetamol to children in school for mild complaints to enable them to stay in school. However, please can we ask that if parents are aware that their child is not feeling 100%, that you administer the medication before school and advise office staff on the gate or via email that they have had a dose at home. If you feel that they may need more during the day, please send in calpol/paracetamol to use in school where you will need to complete a form please. The medication will be returned to you once they are feeling better, or if known long term complaints, at the end of each term.

All classes will be marking safer internet day on 10th February to continue their learning in online safety. This year's focus is
‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’. You may want to check out this free webinar to find out more.
Recent concerns have a;lso been raised about access through 'virtual private networks' (VPNs) - apps/programs that people can use to make themselves more private online. With the age restrictions introduced by the Online Safety Act 2023, the number of people using a VPN has increased dramatically. Read this factsheet to find out what a VPN is, how to spot if your child is using one, and what you can be doing at home to support your child.
