Bentley Weekly Update 07.11.2025
Important Information to ShareRemembrance Service
Don't forget to get your poppies for the service on Tuesday. Head Pupils are supporting children to collect their poppies for a small donation.
Odd Socks and Anti-bullying
Head Pupils will be leading assemblies with children next week as part of anti-bullying week. To show recognition of this important week, they are asking all children to come to school wearing odd socks for the whole week. This year's theme is 'Power for Good'.
Reception place applications
Please see a flyer from SCC regarding school application deadline for September starters. Please pass on to any other parents you know and please let them know that they are very welcome to look round our school next week if they are looking for a school place.
Children in Need-Friday 14th November
Don't forget that this year, we are planning to do something slightly different in support of our local food bank. Linked to the 2025 theme, 'challenge yourself', we are inviting families to donate a box of cereal, instead of a monetary donation. We will be creating a domino effect on the playground, demonstrating to children that each act of kindness has a knock on effect to others around us. The cereal will then be donated to the local food banks to support local children and families in need. Children are excited about this already and we have agreed that more than one box of full, unopened cereal is welcome. Thank you for your support.
School Photos
Children had their photos taken yesterday. Bentley Photographic are looking to go paperless - they have a new, secure ‘Parental Sign Up’ system. Parents need to click on the link on the attached poster and you will be directed to either log in or create an account. From there, select your child’s CLASS and enter their FIRST NAME and SURNAME. When this is done, all photographs associated with this child, during this academic year will be automatically added to the your account and you will be notified directly. Please see the attached poster for details.
Shoebox Appeal
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our shoebox appeal. Copdock children helped to pack the boxes and Bentley worship group wrapped them ready for collection on Thursday.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
