Children will be taken from, and returned to school in the school minibus. Leavers Photo - The supplement will appear in the Ipswich Star on Wednesday 9th July. KS2 Writing Day Thursday 17th July As per the recent email, Thursday 17th July is KS2 Writing Day, as part of this children will be going to a workshop at Copdock school on the afternoon of 17th. Parents are invited in to school on Friday 18th at 2pm to look at what your child has been writing and join in some activities. Please see email sent out earlier in the week. School Council and Head Pupil Elections As we approach the end of term, we will be holding elections for our key roles within school. This will support the childrens' understanding of the election process and democracy. School Council elections will take place on Monday 14th July and Head Pupil elections will take place on Tuesday 15th July. Please speak to your child at home if they are keen to be part of this process and support them to write their election speech ready for election day. If they would like to put up posters around school to promote themselves, that is fine too. In their speech to the whole school, they will need to demonstrate how they can meet our school vision...'to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens', and explain why they are a good candidate for the position. For the Head Pupil role, children receiving the highest number of votes will be considered for interview with Mrs Austin. A copy of the Head Pupil job description can be found here. Staff changes for September As we get closer to the end of the school year, we wanted to update you on a couple of changes for the new school year. Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Atkins, who has been working within Hedgehogs class for the past 2 years. Mrs Atkins has contributed lots to our federation and we are extremely grateful for her commitment during her time with us. We wish her the best of luck as she explores new ventures and hope she will come and say hello in the future to share her news.
We also say farewell to Mrs Callis, our 'Queen of Finance'. Having recently become a grandma, Tracy looks forward to sharing her time with her family. Tracy has been part of our schools' journey for 20 years and she will be sadly missed.
From September we will be welcoming Mrs Ju Usher as our new School Business Manager and Mrs Amanda Perryman as our new admin assistant. This will add strength to our fabulous admin team across both schools, with Mrs Wilson and Mrs Cumberland meeting and greeting as usual.
