Important Information to Share
Year 2 Escalator Day - Tuesday 1st July Year 2 children are attending a skills escalator day on Tuesday 1st July - please remember to bring a packed lunch and please can children arrive at 8.35am Reception and Year 1 children will be joining Copdock childen on this day - see details sent on Wednesday. Note the earlier arrival time of 8.35am please Pleasurewood Hills Adders children will need a packed lunch which will contain enough food for the whole day as this year the price does not include food, plenty of drinks, sun cream and hat, waterproofs (if it suggests rain!). Any travel sickness tablets for the return journey must be given to the adult in charge in a named envelope please. Children do not need to wear their school uniform although please ensure shoulders are covered. The children need to be at school by 8.15am. Please note the change in time for collection is 6.30pm. Tuba Musical event.- Wednesday 2nd July Hedgehogs class are attending a Tuba Music event at Ipswich School - see details sent on Wednesday Year 4 Sleepover at Bentley Primary The children have the opportunity to watch The Lion King (Mustafa) and the new Snow White film, both of these are Cert PG but if you do not want your child to watch these films please contact the office. Reminder for your child to bring a change of clothes for woodland activities (and water fight), spare pair of shoes, empty plastic bag for wet / dirty clothes, bring water guns if you have them, toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, pyjamas / sleep wear, sleeping bag/quilt and pillow, Teddy bear for cuddling at night!, Change of clothes for Saturday morning New collection time is 9am Saturday 5th July CUSP food festival week - dates to be confirmed Children will be preparing food during the day and will be inviting parents in to share their food with you - details to follow. Change of menu On 10th July- there is a change to the menu - it will be burger and wedges or vegetarian burger and wedges (sandwiches/jackets will be available ) Please note from next week Wk 1-Thursday- it will be roast chicken instead of roast turkey, Wk 2- Thursday-it will be chicken sausages instead of roast chicken. Clarinet Performance KS2 parents are welcome to join us on Thursday 3rd July for a clarinet performance at 2:45pm. KS2 Writing DayThursday 17th July Thursday 17th July is KS2 Writing Day, as part of this children will be going to a workshop at Copdock school on the afternoon of 17th. Parents are invited in to school on Friday 18th at 2pm to look at what your child has been writing and join in some activities. PTA News Save the date for our …. ☀️End of school summer party ☀️ ☀️Monday 21st July ☀️5:00 - 7:00pm Everyone is invited We hope everyone will be able to join us to help celebrate the end of an amazing school year where the children have worked so hard and achieved so much. We will also be saying goodbye to our year 6 pupils and wishing them well for their move up to high school and welcoming our new Bentley bunny’s. All friends and family are welcome. We will have a BBQ and bar. More information to follow soon. Psychology Workshops for Parents The Psychology in Schools Team (NSFT) are preparing their programme for parent/carer workshops in 2025-26. They would appreciate parent views to help inform their content and delivery. Please complete this survey to assist them to deliver the topics that parents/carers may find helpful. Please check our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community .and over the summer break. - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages. We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics. Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
