Important Information to Share  

 

Lost Property

Any lost property not claimed by the end of term will be donated to charity. There are 2 expensive fleeces in the box if any child has lost theirs this year!

Books to come home

Children will be bringing their books home this afternoon. Hopefully they will have brought in a large strong bag so they can be brought home easily.

Reading books and library books

If you still have either of these at home, please bring in to school this afternoon.

Change to menu next week

The kitchen will be running down their freezer next week and therefore there will be some changes to the menu.  On Monday chicken sausage will be the main option with potato and baked beans.  On Tuesday they will be offering fish fingers with wedges and baked beans, followed by a sponge.  Jackets and sandwiches will be available as usual on both days.

PE next week

Please can children wear uniform next week, no PE kit needed.

Leaver's Assembly

Leaver's Assembly will be on Monday 21st July - all families are welcome.  As usual please drop children off at the church from 8.35am where they wll be met by staff.  If you are not staying for the service, please continue to drive along Church Road rather than turning round for safety and in consideration of other road users.  Children wiill either walk back to school after the service or be transported in the school minibus.

School Council and Head Pupil Elections

Congratulations to Philippa and Mario for being elected as Head Pupils and Tom as Deputy Head Pupil for next year!
And also congratulations to Jackson, Ellie, Luther, Isabella B, and Tilly for being picked for school council.  We are sure they will all do a great job next year!
 
Suffolk Libraries Summer Reading Quest
 
Please see below the details for the Summer reading quest
 
If children take part and bring in their certificate in September, they will receive an extra sticker on the Reading Giants chart and be entered into a prize draw.
 

Please check the attachments for some information and our Local events and clubs page on the website for things going on in the community .and over the summer break. - we are always adding new information from 3rd parties for you to consider - there may be holiday clubs or sporting opportunities, or events taking place in local villages.  We also include courses available to parents on a variety of topics.

 

 

REMINDERS!!!!

Possible external Dance Club
A reminder for a local dance club who are able to run an after school dance club at school on either a Tuesday or Friday after school. If you are interested in this, please contact the office or the dance school directly and advise a preferred day.  We will then let them know and it will be up to them whether this is viable,  Please note this is not a school afterschool club and all payments and queries would have to be referred to them.

Consents in Arbor

It is very important that we have the consent forms completed for all children in Arbor please.  If you have had an email this week asking you to log in and complete these, please could you action asap.  Thank you for your support.

 
Lunch and Morning Club payments - Please ensure that all payments are paid by Tuesday morning to enable us to close the accounts for the year. thank you for your support

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
