Good morning Woodpeckers

Reminders:

Monday - homework will now be given out on a Monday morning and will need to be brought into school the following Monday. 

Tuesday - PE kits to be worn. Please ensure you wear the correct PE kit - look on the website if you're unsure. Cricket starts  for Woodpeckers today -Please collect children from the cricket ground at 3pm.  This will give you time to then go to school and collect siblings for 3.15pm. Football club after school. Any children going to football club or  After school club will walk back with Mrs Jordan and Mrs Shand or come back on the mini bus.

Friday - PTA Ice cream Friday so please bring your pennies for the end of the day  Remember to bring in your Reading Diaries, as we will continue to count your reading on a Friday morning.  Come in Forest School Clothes- no shorts please.
 
Times Tables - Log on to TT Rock Stars. Log in details are in the front of your planners.  We have weekly tournaments running now - Year 4s versus Year 3s - please help your year group to win! Year 4- this is especially important for you as we will soon be doing the Multiplication Times Tables Test next term.  
 
Homework: Writing - Continue this story, using the story starter below. As well as using some of the different types of sentences (simple, compound, complex middle, verb complex, subordinating complex, deducing, question after thought, cliff hanger) also tell your story using dialogue. Think about all the rules for dialogue we have talked about in class. 
 
Remember, you will be bringing your homework book home on Monday (28th April) and as the following Monday is a Bank Holiday this piece of homework is due in on Tuesday 6th May.
 
“Did you hear that?” Cassie whispered, clutching my hand like she was squeezing a 
stress ball.
 “No,” I replied, peeking out of the wardrobe through the gap, “but they can’t be far 
away now. Time’s almost up.”
 
 
Uniform
Please make sure children are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.
 
Daily belongings needed in school: water bottle, planners, book bag, coat and a smile!
