Hello Woodpeckers,

Here are some reminders for this week -
Ms Jordan is our teacher Monday - Wednesday and Ms Cross is our teacher Thursday - Friday.
Reminders:
Monday - PE clothes (Long bottoms/Joggers, t-shirt and jumper) for Forest School and swimming kits. After school Yr 4-6 Football club

FYI: On the 26th September, we will be having a Victorian day to celebrate our school being 150 years old. We would like the children to come dressed as victorians on the day. There will be a Victoria sponge competition too so get baking if you would like to enter and the cakes will then be used for Macmillan coffee in the afternoon. Look out in the newsletter for more info. Woodpeckers would like to make chutney for the Victorian day so please could you send in any clean jam jars you may have - Thank you.
Uniform
Please make sure children are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.
Daily belongings needed in school: water bottle, planners, book bag, coat and a smile!
Homework
We have spent £200 of our class money on new books and our book area looks amazing, children are keen to read which is fantastic! Please ensure books are kept in pouches and looked after for everyone to enjoy-thank you.
Reading Giants - Read at least 5 times each week and record it in the diary. Please note - the diary needs to be in school on Friday as past reads will not be recorded on our chart (except holidays).
Times Tables - You have all been given a booklet to work on in class which is the times tables you need to practise. Please practise at home too. We will do the first Check in our booklets on Tuesday afternoon. Remember to rehearse the inverse (division) facts as well.
Maths - Place Value challenge is stuck in your HW book. Just write the numbers down in your book. Any of the 6 counters can have a value of a hundred, ten or one.
