Hello Squirrels, 

I hope you have had a lovely weekend!

Our learning behaviour of the week is: 'Push yourself' and our value is 'Thankfulness'

It was fantastic to see so many of you having a great time on Friday for our Victorian day. Thank you for all being so super and playing the part of Victorian children so well. It was a lovely day!

Reminders:

Monday
PE & Forest schools - Please wear outdoor PE kit, jogging bottoms, t-shirt and a jumper/jacket with trainers. We would really like the children to have a pair of wellies that can be left in school as we will go outside in all weathers.  Please make sure all earrings are removed for PE.
 
Tuesday

Wear PE kit - Please make sure all earrings are removed for PE.

Library day - Make sure to bring in your books to change.

General Reminders

Please ensure you are bringing bookbags, water bottles and coats to school.

Earrings must be taken out for PE. 

Please make sure children are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.

5 reads for the week must be recorded by the Friday of that week and in school on the Friday in order to be marked on the chart.

Common exception words

The childen have been tested on their Y1 common exception words this week. This was a baseline task to see what they know. Y1 need to continue to practise these throughout the year. Y2 need to continue to practise the spellings they did not get right on the Y1 test as well as ther new Y2 common exception words. These will be tested again at the end of the half term. 

Homework

Homework was not given out this Friday due to the Victorian day. Homework will be stuck in books on Monday and the spellings due to have been tested on Friday will be tested on Tuesday.
