Kittens 15.09.25

Date: 12th Sep 2025 @ 4:07pm

Hi Kittens,

I hope you have had a fab weekend!

Our learning behaviour of the week is: 'Tune in and concentrate' and our value is 'Thankfulness'

Our words of the week are Reception: 'next to' and 'between'  Year 1: 'season' and 'changes'.

Reminders:

Monday: PE & Forest schools - Please wear outdoor PE kit, jogging bottoms, t-shirt and a jumper/jacket with trainers. We would really like the children to have a pair of wellies that can be left in school as we will go outside in all weathers.

Tuesday: Wear PE kit. Please make sure all earings are removed for PE. Stay and Play at 2:40 for parents of children in Reception.

Victorian Day

FYI: On the 26th September, we will be having a Victorian day to celebrate our school being 150 years old.  We would like the children to come dressed as victorians on the day. There will be a Victoria sponge competition too so get baking if you would like to enter and the cakes will then be used for Macmillan  coffee  in the afternoon.  Look out in the newsletter for more info.  Woodpeckers would like to make chutney for the Victorian day so please could you send in any clean jam jars you may have - Thank you.

General Reminders

Please make sure children are wearing correct uniform; including socks and it is labelled.

Please ensure you are bringing bookbags, water bottles and coats to school.

Earrings must be taken out for PE.

5 reads for the week must be recorded by the Friday of that week and in school on the Friday in order to be marked on the chart.

Homework

No homework this week

If  your adult would like to know more about the sentences we are learning in school and how to support you with your writing homework, please check out the writing video on the Curriculum tab-How parents can support the curriculum.

Have a great week!
