Hedgehogs 22.09.25
Date: 18th Sep 2025 @ 5:06pm
Welcome Hedgehogs,
Here are some reminders for next week.
Our learning behaviour of the week is, 'Work Hard' and our value is, 'Thankfulness'.
Words of the week: 'medium' and 'settlement'.
Reminders:
Please ensure all children's uniform is named and they have a drink bottle with them. In bad weather, please ensure they have the correct uniform including coats, a school fleece isn't sufficient to keep them dry so please send in a coat as well especially with the weather changing.
Monday - Outdoor clothing should be worn for Forest Schools and bring in wellies or old trainers to change into. Swimming kits.
Tuesday - PE kits to be worn.
Wednesday - Spellings and homework.
Friday -
Victorian Day
As mentioned in our welcome back letter, Friday 26th September will be our Victorian Day, where we will travel back in time to explore school life in Victorian times. Children need to come dressed in simple costume, maybe even a chimney sweep or maid. Ideas
here. Children will be lined on the playground in the morning to complete their hygiene check so make sure they wash their hands and nails thoroughly before coming to school!
Macmillan Fundraiser and competition
As part of our Victorian Day theme, we will be holding a Victoria Sponge cake competition. Get your culinary skills ready as you might win a prize!
Donations of other cakes will also be welcome (please bring in to school on Thursday, or Friday morning) as all cakes will be used to support our Macmillan event which opens at 2.45pm. Entry charge is £2.50 for adults and 50p for all children in school, or those who join us. Payment is via spider please. Each class will perform as part of our event so sit back and enjoy refreshments whilst you are entertained. Thank you in advance for your support.
Homework Due in Wednesday 24th September
- Maths Homework - See your child's homework book
- TTR daily
- Spelling to be completed
- Complete 5 reads and parents to sign ready for Friday.
I will look forward to seeing you Monday, have a lovely weekend,
