Foxes 20.10.25

Date: 17th Oct 2025 @ 7:50am

Hello Foxes

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

We will be looking for any of our learning behaviours this week and  our value is 'Thankfulness'

We have reached the last 4 days of the half term and these will all be about active learning. Please check the email sent to parents with what you need for each day.

Monday - Come into school in your PE kits with an appropriate coat for PE. You will be outside whatever the weather all afternoon.

Tuesday - We will be walking to Bentley School across the fields. therefore, you need appropriate clothing and footwear plus a coat. As you will be carrying any packed lunches please consider carefully what you bring. You do not need any school books that day so just a backpack for your lunch and coat. We have Boxercise in the afternoon so if you wear walking boots you may want to bring some trainers. School dinners can be ordered to Bentley.

Wednesday - We have kayaking. You need swimwear, a towel and a separate pair of shoes that can get wet but not easily fall off. If you have your own wetsuit you may bring that too. We will also have skipping at school so a warm PE kit will be needed in case you get wet in the morning. Too many layers are better than not enough. We will be making a packed lunch for today as we will be eating at Alton Water. If you would not like our own packed lunch please speak to me.

Thursday - am boys football at Whitton. Parents may attend but remain outside the perimeter fence. Packed lunch for all of you as we will not be back until around 1pm. Earrings are not permitted at any School Games events. The rest will be in school with Mrs Robinson. In the afternoon we will having a nerf battle. Please do not bring your own nerf guns! Dress down day to support PTA in exchange for a donation - please see newsletter or PTA facebook details. Please come in trainers and suitable dress down clothes for being active outside today. (you should be in PE clothing anything)

If you wish to continue to play on the field at lunchtimes you will need a change of shoes for the afternoon. It is your responsibility not to get your clothes muddy so there will be rules in place to support this during football games.

Friday - pd day - no school

Your homework about Parliament needs to be completed on the green paper and not stuck in your books. This must be completed neatly in your correct pens and handwriting and with spellings checked. Your spelling homework is to ensure you know how to spell the first column of the 3/4 or 5/6 words ready to be tested. This is still due in on Thursday with your 5 reads. Can you also check you can access TT Rocks Stars as we will be taking part in competitons in school. Have you accessed Google Classroom too to make sure you can get in?

If you are not sure about anything please ask me. Please enjoy next week and come with a determined but fair attitude. Any sports events in and through school are about team work, resilience and showing good sportsmanship.

Finally, a massive well done to our cross country runners. I think you were all absolutely amazing and I wish I could have been there to watch you. Congratulations and prepare yourselves for the next round.
