Hello Foxes

I hope you have all had a wonderful half term and a great halloween.

We will be looking for the learning behaviour- 'Enjoy your learning' this week and our value is 'Trust' (Trusting in ourselves and others to make sure we can all complete the best in our learning. Have a go, don’t be afraid to fail; taking small steps and celebrating achievements; stepping out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, peer to peer support, learning from others)

Monday - PE with Mr Hayes, you will need outdoor clothes for PE

Thursday - 5 reads

Friday - homework due in, individual school photos so you will need your smiles. Family shared learning starts at 2.30 if you have 2 or more children in school. If you have one child, you will be able to come into school from 2.45pm. PTA will be serving hot chocolate at the end of the day on the playground.

As we move through this school year we need to focus heavily on our times tables as these are a key part of the UKS2 curriculum in maths. It is essential you know these on a quick recall. I have, therefore, set up TT Rock Stars battles between years 5 and 6 and also between Foxes and Woodpeckers. There will be ongoing competitions between these groups so please make sure you can access this site as it will be part of your homework to practise these regularly.

If you would like to play on the field at lunchtime, you need to bring an old pair of trainers to change into. Please make sure you have a coat in school every day. You will still be outside at playtimes so something waterproof is essential.
