Adders Class 8.12.25
Date: 4th Dec 2025 @ 9:55am
Welcome to the penultimate week of the Autumn Term! We have a VERY busy week, so please make sure you add any additional activities into your diaries.
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.
You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and THURSDAY this week as you have PE at Copdock on Monday afternoon and PE with me on Thursday afternoon. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers). This is your last Monday afternoon at Copdock THIS TERM.
Make sure you are learning your words for our Christmas play and practising the song words. Here are the links to the YouTube karaoke sites:
You MUST bring a warm waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining.
On WEDNESDAY, we are at the church for our Christmas Experience. You will need to be dropped off at the church from 8.35 and then we will walk back to school afterwards (weather depending). In the afternoon, we are singing Christmas songs at the pub in the village with Hedgehogs. We will be walking there and back.
On FRIDAY, it is our Class Assembly when we will have the opportunity to tell everyone about our learning this term. I hope your grown ups can attend.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Improve' and our value this half term is 'Trust'. Our words this week are: 'tectonic' and 'altitude'.
This week's homework is:
- Learn the second column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book. You will have a test in JANUARY on these words.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
Please complete your 5 Reads and bring your diary into school on FRIDAY 19th DECEMBER 2025.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK - TO BE BROUGHT INTO SCHOOL BY FRIDAY 9TH JANUARY 2026:
Learning activity - using this half term's curriculum map (attached as a file), create an A3 poster to recall what you have learnt in all areas of the curriculum over the last six weeks.
