Welcome to the fourth week of the Summer Term.  

This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.  Don't forget, it is BANK HOLIDAY on MONDAY!

You will need to wear your PE kit on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY this week. You will have athletics on Tuesday and cricket or Padel at Copdock Cricket Club on Wednesday..  Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).  

On TUESDAY, Y6 will be going to Copdock in the afternoon for a VR session on knife crime.  You will be transported there and back by minibus.

Those of you taking part in the football tournament on FRIDAY, you will need to come dressed in school PE kit (given out on THURSDAY) and have a packed lunch and plenty of drinks.

Remember, you MUST bring a warm waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining.

The learning behaviour this week is 'Push Yourself' and our value this half term is 'Friendship'.  Our words this week are: 'blitzkrieg' and  'intercept'.

YEAR 6, you have your next set of SATs homework to complete this week.  On Google Classroom, there are revision guides for maths and SPaG.  These can be viewed online.  You will need to read the information first before answering any of the questions.  Your homework needs to be completed and can be marked at home.

This week's homework for YEAR 5 ONLY is:

  • Maths - Volume.
  • Spelling sheet - Homophones.
  • Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex.  If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website. All the details are on Google Classroom. You can submit your writing on Google Docs or handwrite it in your homework book. 
  • Begin to learn the fifth column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words.  The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book.  
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge.  Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
