Adders Class 23.3.26
Date: 19th Mar 2026 @ 8:07pm
Welcome to the final week of the Spring Term.
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.
It is Parents Evening on TUESDAY. You are expected to accompany your parents as you will be leading the meeting.
You will need to wear your PE kit on WEDNESDAY this week. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).
For those of you taking part in cross country, you will need to come dressed in school kit that you can take home TUESDAY. Your grown ups will collect you at 12.20pm to take you to RHS.
On THURSDAY, it is our London trip. As you know, I am unfortunately unable to attend but Miss Cooper and Mrs Lawrance will be responsible for you on the day. You will need to be in school by 6.55am to board the bus at 7.15am. You will need enough food to last the day and it might be a good idea to bring something to do during the journey as it might be quite long! Please may sure your parents keep an eye out for text messages about when you will be back in Bentley so that school staff are not waiting for you to be collected.
Remember, you MUST bring a warm waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining or cold.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Don't Give Up' and our value this half term is 'Forgiveness'. Our words this week are: 'transclucent' and 'aristocracy'.
YEAR 6, you have your next set of SATs homework to complete this week. On Google Classroom, there are revision guides for maths and SPaG. These can be viewed online. You will need to read the information first before answering any of the questions. You also have your homework to be completed during the Easter Holidays. Your homework needs to be completed and brought into school by MONDAY 13th APRIL 2026 so we can mark it in class.
This week's homework for YEAR 5 ONLY is:
- Retrieval Homework - the instructions are on Google Classroom and you will be given an A3 piece of paper to produce a poster about your learning from this half term.
- Learn the fourth column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book. You will be tested on these after the Easter Holidays.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
Please complete your homework and bring into school on FRIDAY 17th APRIL 2026 (the week after Easter).
