Welcome to the fifth week of the Spring Term 2026!
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.
You will need to wear your PE kit on TUESDAY and THURSDAY this week. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).
Those taking part in the basketball tournament on TUESDAY will need to take home a school kit on Monday and come dressed in the kit on Tuesday. You will also need to be in school for 8.25am to leave school by 8.30am. Mrs Lawrance will be driving you in the bus. You will also need to bring a packed lunch, drink and some snacks. Earrings must be removed BEFORE the event.
On WEDNESDAY, I am out of class all day so Mrs Lawrance will be teaching you in the morning and you will be going over to Copdock in the afternoon for Forest Schools. Therefore, you will need to wear clothes and footwear suitable for Forest Schools.
Remember, you MUST bring a warm waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining or cold.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Don't Give Up' and our value this half term is 'Courage'. Our words this week are: 'surreal' and 'figurative'.
This week's homework is:
- Maths - complete the sheet in your book - Multiplying fractions.
- Spelling sheet - Words including 'ie/ei'.
- Begin to learn the third column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book.
- Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex. If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
