Welcome to the third week of our next half term!

You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY ONLY this week as you have PE at Copdock on Monday afternoon. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers). 

It is Worship Group on TUESDAY.  Please practise any parts you have for our Advent Service.  We will be practising these during this time.

Some of you have chosen to audition for parts in our Christmas Play.  Please practise the parts for your chosen roles.  Auditions will be held on WEDNESDAY lunchtime. 

On THURSDAY, we are at BT Adastral Park for a day all about computing!  You will need to be in your school uniform and bring a packed lunch, drink and snack.  We will be returning to school for approximately 3.30pm.

You MUST bring a warm waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining.

The learning behaviour this week is 'Work Hard' and our value this half term is 'Trust'.  Our words this week are: 'inhospitable' and  'orogeny'.

This week's homework is:

  • Maths - complete the sheet in your book - Equivalent Fractions
  • Spelling sheet - Y5/6 Statutory Words.
  • Learn the second column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words.  The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book.
  • Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex.  If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website.
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge.  Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.

Please complete your homework and bring into school on FRIDAY 28th NOVEMBER.
