This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.  PLEASE CHECK THIS EVERY DAY!

You will need to wear your PE kit on FRIDAY this week. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).  As it is Sports Day on Friday afternoon, you will need to wear your team's colour t-shirt. IF YOUR GROWN UP HAS NOT ORDERED YOU A SCHOOL PACKED LUNCH, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING ONE IN FROM HOME.

On TUESDAY morning, we are at Crucial Crew at The Mix in Stowmarket with Foxes.  We will be travelling there in the minibus and my car.  You will need to wear uniform and trainers and make sure you have a packed lunch. WE ARE LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 8.30AM SO YOU WILL NEED TO BE IN SCHOOL AT 8.20AM.

On WEDNESDAY, you will need to come dressed in Forest School clothes, but make sure you have trainers and a pair of shorts/skort for cricket and Padel in the afternoon.  You will need to wear long trousers/leggings for Forest School but can change at lunchtime so you are ready for PE.  We will be taking part in a walk around Copdock, Forest Schools and orienteering during the morning.  You will be walking up to Copdock Cricket Club with Foxes in the afternoon and then we will transport you back to Bentley.

Those of you in Worship Group, we will be having a WG picnic on WEDNESDAY lunchtime at Copdock as Don and Jane would like to hear your views.  Therefore, you will need to bring a packed lunch that day - treats will be provided!  Your parents should have received an email about this.

On FRIDAY morning, Year 6 are going to Copdock in the minibus for a transition workshop by the mental health team.  You will be transported back to Bentley by playtime.

Remember, you MUST bring a waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining and the weather is also unpredictable.  Also, make sure you have suncream and a hat if the weather forecast is warm, which it is likely to be this week.

The learning behaviour this week is 'Work Hard' and our value this half term is 'Respect'.  Our words this week are: 'incidence' and  'constituent'.

This week's homework is:

  • Maths - Y5: Regular and Irregular Polygons; Y6: Problem Solving.
  • Spelling sheet - Homophones
  • Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex.  If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website. All the details are on Google Classroom. You can submit your writing on Google Docs or handwrite it in your homework book.
  • Revise all of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words.  The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book.  You will be tested on all of these over the next couple of weeks.  Do not forget to practise your personal spellings.
  • Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!!  If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
  • Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge.  Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.

Please complete your homework and bring into school on FRIDAY 26th JUNE 2026.
