Welcome to the second full week of this term.
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE. PLEASE CHECK THIS EVERY DAY!
You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and WEDNESDAY this week as we have PE in school. You will need to wear your uniform on all the other days.
It is non-uniform day on FRIDAY in exchange for donations of sweets and chocolate for the Summer Fayre. The PTA are in need of volunteers to help on stalls at the fayre which is on FRIDAY 25th September 3.15pm to 4.30pm. If you would like to help, then your grown ups will need to complete an online form. There will also be School Council elections during Collective Worship on FRIDAY as there is no Family Assembly that day.
Remember, you MUST bring a waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining and the weather is also unpredictable.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Tuning in' and our value this half term is 'Generosity'. Our words this week are: 'solution' and 'soluble'.
This week's homework is:
- Maths - Place Value
- Spellings - Statutory Words
- Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex. If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website. All the details are on Google Classroom. You can submit your writing on Google Docs or handwrite it in your homework book.
- Learn the first column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book. You will be tested on all of these over the next couple of weeks. Do not forget to practise your personal spellings.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
