Welcome to the penultimate week of this half term. Next week is PGL so I hope you are all getting organised!
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE. PLEASE CHECK THIS EVERY DAY!
You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY this week as we have PE in school. On WEDNESDAY, you have Forest Schools at Copdock all day as I am out of class so you will need to wear something suitable for activities outside. You will need to wear your uniform on all the other days.
Remember, you MUST bring a waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining and the weather is also unpredictable.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Improve' and our value this half term is 'Generosity'. We will be sharing our ideas about the value during Family Assembly this week. Our words this week are: 'native' and 'codex'.
As it is PGL next week and a PD Day on the Friday, there will be no maths, spelling or writing homework given out on FRIDAY. Instead, you will be given an A3 piece of paper to produce a poster about this half term's learning. All the details will be on Google Classroom from FRIDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2026.
- Learn the first column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book. You will be tested on this column after half term. Do not forget to practise your personal spellings.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
