Welcome to the second week of our next half term!
This week's timetable can be accessed HERE.
You will need to wear your PE kit on MONDAY and THURSDAY as you have PE at Copdock on Monday morning and PE at school with me on Thursday afternoon. Please make sure that ALL uniform is named (especially PE jumpers).
On TUESDAY, it is Armistice Day. We will be marking this with a short service at the war memorial. Please make sure you wear your poppy.
It is Parents Evening on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY. Please remind your grown ups to make an appointment. You are expected to attend the meeting to talk about your learning.
You MUST bring a waterproof coat to school EVERY DAY as you will be expected to go out at playtimes even if it is raining.
The learning behaviour this week is 'Tuning in' and our value this half term is 'Trust'. Our words this week are: 'waxing' and 'waning'.
This week's homework is:
- Maths - complete the sheet in your book - Cube and Square Numbers.
- Spelling sheet - Words with 'cious' and 'tious'.
- Learn the second column of the Y5/6 or Y3/4 Common Exception Words. The ones you need to learn have been highlighted on the list in the front of your homework book.
- Writing - use the picture stimulus to write 5 sentences using the different sentence types learnt in class: compound, complex (middle), verb complex and subordinating complex. If you are unsure, please look at this video on the website.
- Use TTRockstars to practise your times tables - you MUST know these!! If you don't, you need to go on here EVERY DAY.
- Read for Pleasure at least FIVE times this week and record this in your diary for our Reading Giants challenge. Ask a grown up to sign your book on Friday's section.
