Early Help
Early help (early intervention) is support given when a problem first emerges. Our offer includes:
· Peer mentoring;
· Nurture club at lunchtimes;
· Worry boxes or Colour Monsters;
· Nurture boxes;
· Breakfast club access;
· Specialist Education Services (SES);
· Mental Health Support Team (MHST);
· Early Help Assessment referrals;
· School Nursing Team;
· Referrals to Suffolk Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing Hub;
· Educational Welfare Officer (EWO);
· Family Carer Services;
· Home Start;
· One Life;
· Parenting Support Programmes.

Safeguarding
Pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities are recognised as the most vulnerable group regarding safeguarding. Measures include: Early Help using the Common Assessment Framework (CAF); opportunities for pupils with SEND to share wishes/feelings through termly meetings; appropriate personal, health and social education; clear routes to raise concerns; close contact with families; staff guidelines/training on intimate care, working with the opposite sex, handling difficult behaviour, consent to treatment; anti‑bullying strategies (School Council initiatives; safeguarding lessons); weekly monitoring of behaviour; prompt action on concerns; statutory safeguarding training; all staff read Part 1 of Keeping Children Safe in Education.
