Social Story

At this stage, we still plan to open on 1st June, if the Government confirm that the conditions they set have been met. However, we are aware that the SAGE group have reported new information today and that a decision by the government is not expected until Friday 29 May 2020. We will be planning based on the responses we have received and a letter will come out to all Reception, Year 1 and priority group children after the weekend. This will detail the arrangements in place and include a link to the full risk assessment. A copy of this will be added to the website as reference for all.To support you to engage in discussions with your child about the return to school,

I have attached a useful social story you may like to share with them when you feel the time is right. I will also be recording  a short video for you to share with them during this week.

CISS and Thrive resources - 29-4-2020

The CISS team have provided some really helpful resources to use at home, specifically for children with social and communication needs. However, they are extremely helpful for all children if experiencing anxiety of needing some focus on developing a sense of self.

Easter Return 15-4-20

Hopefully you have enjoyed the sunshine and celebrated your time together, something we can often take for granted. As we approach a new term, we have tried to streamline communication as much as possible via the website. The emails are being monitored daily but answering the phone is not always possible. If you leave an email, someone will respond as quickly as possible and call you back if required.

Please see the attached update for lots of information.

We will be delivering home learning packs to all who live locally on Monday, kindly supported by staff and a parent who works as a courier. For those of you who live further away, we will email you separately to arrange collection at a time convenient for you, hopefully on Monday 20th April. Please let us know if we can be of any further support before the return to home learning next week.

Weekly News 26-3-20

20th March 2020

We have had a lovely day with the children today, singing together and sharing our hopes to be back together before the end of the school year, so we can celebrate our successes and achievements. We don't know what the next few weeks and months holds for us all as a country or in fact globally, but I do know that by working in partnership we can still support our children to be 'Confident, Successful and Responsible'. Good luck and stay safe!
