Copdock Weekly Update 28/04/2023

PTA

Please see attached the minutes from this week's PTA meeting to plan the community summer fayre.  Could you please take a moment to complete this document to offer your assistance on the day.  We have very few members on our PTA and they would love for some more support from you - please approach any of them, or the school, for more details of how you could get involved.  If you are unable to give your time to help at PTA events, why not volunteer to have a board in your garden advertising the next event - not only are you supporting the school via the PTA, you also get entered into a draw where you could win a pair of adult tickets to the Suffolk Show!  All you have to do is email the PTA on [email protected] with your name and address by the end the month - you have until Sunday!!!

Bikeability

Year 5 children need to bring their bikes and helmets to school on Tuesday morning.  These can be stored securely in the school overnight.  Please refer to the letter for details of other requirements - just remember they will cycle whatever the weather, so a raincoat is almost essential.

Coronation Event

Families are invited to join us on Thursday morning for our Coronation Event.  Please wear red, white & blue and bring flags for waving!  Our celebrations will commence at 9am, we expect them to be completed by 9:45am when the children will return to class to continue marking this historic occasion.

Anyone who did not complete the Form to pre-order a picnic lunch MUST send in a packed lunch - there will be no option to order a meal on the day.

Lego Tokens

The publication of Lego tokens finishes in the local press this weekend with many bonus tokens available.  I am really disappointed to say that despite reminders and requests, we have not received a single token to date.

Health & Well-Being Workshops

Please find details of online workshops about supporting young people's mental health and well-being.  Some of you expressed an interest in this focus when we consulted you back in September, so you may find them helpful.  The below free virtual workshops are designed to provide up to date advice and guidance on how parents and carers can support the young people in their life.  The workshops are delivered as live Zoom sessions and are 60 minutes long.
