Miss Cross

Miss Cross has worked at Copdock School since 2007 and still loves being part of Copdock community. She is the school SENDCo and Deputy Headteacher as well as school council and Forest School lead teacher. When she isn't working she likes spending time at the coast, walking her dog and eating chocolate.

Welcome to life in Woodpeckers Class!

The children in Woodpeckers Class are aged between 7 and 9 years old so they are in the middle phase of our school.  During their time in Woodpeckers Class, we see the children mature into more independent learners.

This process is carefully guided by adults during the early months of their time in the class so by the end of Year 4, when they are ready to move on to Foxes Class, they are confident in working independently as well as being part of a team and managing their own learning time effectively.  We encourage the children to be reflective in their learning and evaluate what they have done in order to identify what their next steps are.

The children enjoy sharing and peer marking their learning, finding new ways to move their learning on and achieving success.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
