Bentley School Council

Our School Council at Bentley School is made up of representatives from each year group who have been elected onto the School Council by the children following successful voting campaigns each September.

The older children in Adders Class take on the role of Chair, Deputy Chair and Secretary.  We help each class organise an enterprise event for our Christmas Fayre every year as well as run stalls such as Sweets in a Jar, Tombolas and Guess the Name of the Teddy Bear.  This usually raises over £250 and we spend on a trip in the summer and equipment for the school.

We also organise all of the charity fundraising events throughout the year and make decisions on behalf of the other children, for example, Children In Need, Comic Relief and other charity events.

Pre-Covid, we ran a snack shop every breaktime where children could purchase snacks such as breadsticks, rice cakes and cheese straws.  We aim to re-start this once restrictions have been lifted.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
