Copdock Weekly Update

Dear All

How lovely to finally experience some sunny weather, giving the children an opportunity to work outside!  With this in mind please make sure that children have sun cream and hats on these lovely hot sunny days.

Educate and Celebrate Award

As you are aware, we have been working towards achieving our best practice award in equality as part of the Educate and Celebrate project. Children and staff have been sharing a range of books and songs that explore diversity and individuality, emphasising the importance of accepting everyone for who they are. We have been invited to a small award ceremony at Ipswich Library on 23rd May, where children will have the opportunity to share some of their work and sing a song. Murryfield Primary School will also be present to join the fun. We will be presented with our certificate as part of this event.

We hope to take a group of children, who will be singing and sharing, in the school minibus about 3pm, ready for the 4pm start. However, everyone is welcome to attend to celebrate the learning that has taken place this year. If your child is interested in taking part we may have already contacted you but please let us know if you are able to come along. The more the merrier! We would like parents to collect children from the library at about 5.15pm. However, we may also be able to bring children back for collection if this provides a challenge. We look forward to seeing you there!

Parent Learning Session

Friday 10th June - an opportunity for you to come along and share your child/ren's recent learning with them.  All welcome from 2:15 onwards, please come through the office to sign in.  This will replace our usual Friday sharing assembly.

Netball

Congratulations to all of our year 5 & 6 netball players who took part in the tournament at East Bergholt High School today.  Everyone is playing exceptionally well despite the heat, no results known as they are still play.

Lets hope that this lovely weather continues into the weekend.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
