THIS WEEK:

Healthy Living Day:  Foxes class received visitors this week from Nuffield Health.  They will have a few more visits over the coming weeks covering topics such as sleep, exercise, healthy eating and emotions, all part of a Health & Wellbeing Course.

Coffee & Chat:  Thank you to those of you who returned the questionnaires and came along to the coffee and chat to discuss the curriculum development further.  We hope you found it useful and informative.

Shared Learning:  It was lovely to see so many families of those children in years 1-6 join us this afternoon for Shared Learning.  It is a valuable part of the engagement between home and school, thank you for supporting this event.

Local Plan Meeting:  There is a consultation being held in the school hall tomorrow between 11am and 3pm, please do drop in and see what is planned for the local area and it’s potential impact on our community.  Donations of cakes would be gratefully received, all proceeds will go towards supporting the school.

NEXT WEEK:

KS1 Grandparents Day:  KS1 are inviting grandparents into school on Tuesday 3rd March at 2:30pm for a cup of tea, a cake and to share our learning and to find out what we discovered when we looked at the 1960s.  Please confirm numbers by Monday morning so that we can ensure we have enough cake to go around!

World Book Day:  If your child wishes to dress up on World Book Day (there is no pressure to), they are invited to dress as an adjective!  Google has some fab suggestions if you are struggling with ideas – don’t over think it!  If they do not wish to dress up, please come in school uniform on the day.

Please remember there is a special menu on offer next Thursday.  Please ensure you have booked this in advance as it will not be available to order on the day.  Monday is the deadline for meal orders.

Our caterers, Norse, are running a fun short story competition – please see the poster on the website for more details.

Woodpeckers – please bring in one of your favourite books from home to share with the class on Thursday.

Foundation Shared Learning:  Foundation parents are invited in on Friday from 2pm to share learning with their child.

PTA Meeting:  After the Foundation Shared Learning next Friday, we have a PTA meeting being held at school at 3:30pm where a crèche will be provided for the children.  Please do come along and see how you can help keep the PTA running.  The children will be bringing a flyer home in their book bags.
