Copdock Weekly Update 22/03/24

Information to Share

Change of menu - Thursday 28th March - the menu for this day will be sausage or quorn sausage with chips, beans and/or peas.

Spring & Summer Dinner Menu - is attached, starting after Easter.  Please note the Lunchtime Lunchbox option is not available to our school.  Allergen menus will be sent to parents next week.

Parent Consultations - the bookings for parent consultations slots will close at 5pm this afternoon.  If you don't manage to book a slot before then, please contact the office.

Cross Country - the children enjoyed this event and did fantastically well.  We'll be putting photos on the Group Conversations on the website, so keep an eye out later.

Easter Service - just a reminder that on the last day of term (Thursday 28th) we will be holding an Easter Service at the church during the afternoon.  Parents are welcome to join us at 2:45pm until 3:15pm.  Please note ALL children will need collecting from the church that day.  Parking is available at Copdock Hall.  The service will begin with an Easter bonnet parade.  However, if your child is due to attend after school club, please let the office know and we will arrange for them to return to school.

Dinner monies - as we approach the financial year end, could we please ask that school dinners are paid up to date.  If you are unsure how many you owe, or have pre-paid, please contact the office for confirmation.  Payment can be made via the website or in cash in a named envelope before the end of term please.

Chickens - we are looking at moving the chickens back up to the copse.  If anyone could assist next week after school, please let us know so that we can work out a plan.  Thank you in advance.

End of Term - as it is the end of term next week, please ensure an adult is available to take home all medications for the holidays - you may wish to collect this on Wednesday as pickup is from the church on Thursday (unless it is needed in school on Thursday).  This gives parents a chance to check if it needs to be kept in school, and to ensure it is in date for the coming term.

FSM discretionary vouchers - if your child is in receipt of free school meals, please check your emails for the vouchers that have come out for the Easter break.  Please ensure that you redeem these and any previously issued vouchers by the closing date as they cannot be re-sent.

REMINDERS!!!!

Children need a coat with them every day - please ensure they have their name in it and on their jumpers/cardigans/fleeces - especially those used for PE!

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
