Copdock Weekly Update 19/01/2024

Information to Share

Dropping Off - it has been brought to our attention again that parents are waiting on the path when dropping their children in the mornings, this is blocking the access for other children arriving, some children having to take to the road to pass people.  Once you have said goodbye to your child you are free to leave.  Please do not wait in the path of other people arriving at school.  If you are on the path please ensure the children do not need to step into the road to get to the entrance.

Dodgeball - pupils in Foxes who are attending the dodgeball event next Tuesday should come to school in their PE kits with a snack and plenty of water to take with them.  They should be back in school by lunchtime and can therefore order a hot dinner on the day.  They will need to be at school early as the minibus will be leaving before the bell rings!  Please see email sent during the week for full details.

Able Maths - 2 of our Woodpecker's children will be attending Handford hall Primary on Wednesday.

ASC Gymnastics - the children who have chosen to take part in the gymnastics club had their first session this week.  If your child is attending please send them into school with their PE kit to change into at the end of the day.  Ideally they should wear shorts and t-shirts - nothing too baggy and no hoodies or socks when using the aparatus.

Stay and Play
Just a reminder, there will be no stay and play for the next few weeks.

REMINDERS!!!!

Foxes need packed lunches on Mondays if they are attending guitar.

Deposits for the PGL trip open to years 4 & 5, are due by the end of the month.

Children need a coat with them every day - please ensure they have their name in it and on their jumpers/cardigans/fleeces - especially those used for PE!

Don't forget to check out our website for information on events happening soon including holiday clubs, sporting sessions and more!

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
