Information to Share

Christmas Performances - well done to everyone who participated in our Christmas performances this week, and to our audiences for sharing them.  Congratulations to the raffle winners!  Keep an eye on the website for photos of the events that have taken place this week.

Menu Changes Next Week - the kitchen have informed us that there will be changes to the menu next week - on Tuesday 19th ice cream or fruit will be available for dessert - no yoghurts available.  On Wednesday 20th they are offering chicken/veggie nuggets with jacket wedges, vegetables/salad.  On the first day back (Thursday 4th January) chicken/veggie meatballs with pasta, vegetables and vanilla crunch or jelly for dessert.

After School Clubs in Spring Term  - next term we will be running 3 clubs.  ITFC will be running a Multi-Sport club on a Monday for children in year 4-6, Kids with Bricks will be organising the Lego Club running on Tuesdays for years 1-4 and Premier Sport will be hosting Gymnastics club on Wednesdays for children in years R to 3.  Here's how to book on and pay for the clubs:
  • Multi-Sport Club will run from 3:15-4:15pm starting on Monday 15th January.  The multi-sport focus enables us to cater for indoor/outdoor sessions dependent on the weather!  There will be 5 sessions up to half term and the cost is £2 per session.  Payment can be made of £10 via School Spider for children in years 4-6.  Spaces are limited.  ITFC will also be running a lunchtime club where school selected children will participate to enable practice for upcoming tournaments - this will be provided free of charge.
  • Lego Club will begin on Tuesday 9th January from 3:15-4:15pm for 6 weeks costing £3.99+VAT per session for children in years 1-4.  Please see the attached letter for details on how to register and pay.  There is a limit of 20 spaces available.  Please note this club is administered by an outside agency, not the school.
  • Gymnastics Club will start on Wednesday 17th January for 10 weeks (5 either side of half term) from 3:20-4:20pm (to allow time for the children to change).  The cost of the club is £40 for the 10 sessions.  Unfortunately, due to limited space in the hall we are just offering this club to Years R to 3.  Please can you complete the form to book your child's place.  Payment can be made from Monday via cash, cheque or spider.
In Summary, the clubs for next term are:
Mon - Multi-Sport Yr4-6 £10
Tues - Lego club for Yr1-4 £29.79
Wed - Gymnastics YrR-3 £40

School Dinners - please ensure all school dinners have been paid for the term, preferably by Monday so that we can reconcile our records.  Dinners can be paid for in cash (in a named envelope) or via the school spider app.  If you are unsure how many meals are outstanding, please ask the office.

words.PNG

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary.  In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context.  If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
